KIng of the road.

A wedding we shall go, a wedding we shall go, off to a wedding, a wedding we shall go.

We're not marrying the couple but it is a wedding. A lovely wedding it will be. One of my nieces is getting hitched and it should be a good time.

I wish that I knew what I know now...

It's our 16th wedding anniversary. Almost hard to believe and yet it seems like 2 years ago. I wish sometimes it was 2 years and we were both still in our 20's. If I knew then what I know now...

We can all make the best decisions in hindsight. Marrying Joseph was the best thing I have ever done. Our marriage is what prompted us to start the Wedding Project to begin with. We believe in the sanctity of marriage. We still love our project. Now we know not to count on anyone, only each other. When we trust each other and work together, anything can be accomplished.

peace + love to Joseph!

Life goes on...

Life without Siddhartha is not as easy as one would think. I swear I hear him in the morning meowing. He was my alarm clock. I'm going to be really mad the first morning I oversleep.Emily keeps laying food out, hoping he'll reappear to eat. It's very sad, and heartbreaking. He was our Halloween cat and couldn't make it to his special day.

My Day of the Dead is for Sidd. We all love you and miss you. You were an awesome cat!

Our wedding project

Oh the wedding project. What a great idea right. Too bad our families think we're failures. Yep-I'm looking at both mom's on this one. Safety over risk. Join us in our ever enlarging black hole. Don't you want to get sucked into it with us-join us they say.

Well to live our own lives-in our own way from this day on. I can't be trapped, it's not good for anyone.

We have to put our sweet and crazy Sidd man to sleep today. He was our first boy and I'm going to miss him. I think this is a change of attitude for all of us because of Sidd's slow demise. Live life like it's a traveling journey. Appreciate all the people you come across, be happy in the moment. Do what you love and some how it will work out.

Not to be cryptic, but we are on another chapter.

Please send us an email, or leave a comment and we will point you in our new direction.

Illustration Friday-Blanket

"The snow is a white blanket that covers up everything living." Robert Frost

Looking out our kitchen window, this is my view. Snow is very comforting.
I love this week's topic, Blanket. See more here.

I am the son and heir...

Ok-watching the pre-Superbowl now. There is something terribly wrong when there is a discussion of the football teams and Morrissey's, "How Soon is Now" is playing in the background. We didn't have headmasters here in the states, but we have jocks. And let me say, jocks don't listen to the Smith's. Jocks beat up the kids who listened to the Smiths.

There have been searches to our site, and mostly they are music themed, because of the titles.

Since I'm feeling helpful,(despite my Smiths rant) I will list some of the songs, and who sang them. (Go Patriots!!)

"1,2,3,4 tell me that you love me more"
1,2,3,4-Feist

"She'll make you breakfast, she'll make you toast"
She Don't Use Jelly-The Flaming Lips

"I see skies of blue, clouds of white"
What a Wonderful World-Louis Armstrong

"There's a river flowing by a willow tree"
My Only Love-Roxy Music
(I love Roxy songs. I love them so much I have to take breaks from listening to them.)

"Have you seen her dressed in blue"
She's a Rainbow-The Rolling Stones

"Always look on the bright side of life"
The Life of Brian-Monty Python
